Gerrards Cross Comedy Evening
The genteel folk of Gerrards Cross have proved to have an appetite for live comedy that is nothing short of voracious! After a series of highly successful shows last year we have now started to programme 2017 with yet more of the very best in live stand up comedy;
Now best known to the world for his portrayal of ‘Joe’ in Ken Loach’s 2016 film I, Daniel Blake, Newcastle’s Gavin Webster is famed and respected by his peers for his uncompromising and unusual approach, hard edged routines, quick-fire pastiche pieces, moronic jokes and sardonic songs. Gavin’s contributions to stand up over the last twenty years were recognised when he was voted 2014 Circuit Comedian Of The Year by fellow comedians and promoters.
First comedian to take the Gerrard’s Cross stage is Dublin’s Paddy Lennox whose engaging, instantly likeable and combines topical material with observational routines. Paddy has supported many touring comics such as Rhod Gilbert and Micky Flanagan. Whilst playing all the usual big clubs, Paddy likes to gig the smaller ones too. Otherwise life gets too predictable.
