Stand up comedy returns to Stalybridge on Saturday 1st October when we hold a fundraising show for Stalybridge Celtic Juniors AFC on Saturday 1st October and we’re more than delighted with the lineup;
Archie Kelly is best known for his comic portrayal of Kenny “Dalglish” Senior in the award winning Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights. However, it is a live performer that Archie excels. He continues to act and perform regular stand-up and is in much demand on the corporate circuit. A cheeky, inoffensive and highly interactive style has endeared him to audiences both here and overseas.
“Funniest thing I’ve seen in ages.” Peter Kay
Brum’s Andy Robinson became a stand up quite accidentally as guitarist in ‘The Carpetsweepers‘ when his banter between songs reduced both the audience and his fellow musicians to hysterics. Tour support includes Sean Lock, Rich Hall and regularly for Jo Brand who Andy has now worked with for many years.
“The comedy equivalent of gold dust – pure talent” Birmingham Post
Jack Carroll stole the hearts of the nation when he appeared on Britain’s Got talent a few years ago. Since then he has gone on to perform on both film and TV although he can regularly be seen performing stand up at venues up and down the country. Compere for the evening is Rob Riley.
