Gerrards Cross Comedy Evening
Gerrards Cross Comedy Evening. Friday 6th May
Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire is the setting for our show on Friday 6th May. When the local community association got in touch with a very specific brief we were only too happy to help and we have carefully selected a line up, quite literally, fit for a (future) king!
Although now best known for his role in Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban, Jim Tavaré is an internationally acclaimed comedian with a highly distinguished career. Jim co-wrote and starred in ITV’s BAFTA winning ‘The Sketch Show’ which was syndicated worldwide. Following three appearances on The Royal Variety Performance, Jim performed at several private functions for the British Royal Family, including a private Christmas party for HRH Prince Charles and a Gala held at Highgrove in front of Her Majesty the Queen and thirteen Crowned Heads of State. Jim is renowned for being Prince Charles’s favourite comedian.
Wayne Deakin headlines all the big Australian clubs and tours across North America but is based in London (“It’s just simple economics. Britain’s where they’ll spend every red cent they’ve got on booze and entertainment.” ) His amiable, laconic style works to draw you in but there’s plenty of biting social commentary here too, so Wayne will have you both laughing and thinking. Wayne is currently campaigning to have Prince Phillip made Prime Minister.
“My jaw hurts from laughing, that was funny!” Beat
