Duncan Oakley powers out a deft blend of stupidity and truly impressive musicianship with hilarious results. An easy confidence and good natured banter make him a regular at all the best venues. Lesser musical comedians hide behind their guitars and use them as a shield but Duncan’s is definitely a sword as audiences who have been slain with laughter will gladly testify!
“Leaping between stupidity and pure brilliance” Yorkshire Evening Post “Punchlines come at a heckler-proof rate” Chortle
When he was 16 the NHS asked Jonny Pelham (a self-diagnosed ‘weird human being’ ) if he wanted cosmetic surgery to improve his appearance. Having been happy with how he looked this came as a shock but has lent itself to one of the funniest, most distinctive and ultimately heart warming comic routines for many a year and the comedy industry has firmly concurred on this diagnosis making Jonny a Chortle Best Newcomer Nominee and Judges Choice in the BBC New Comedy Awards.
‘The laughs are explosive’ Chortle “Echoes of Daniel Kitson” Sunday Times ★★★★
