We held our first ever shows at The White Hart at Lydate and we still return occasionally.  The White Hart  has an enviable reputation for fine food and our ‘Bangers and Laughs’ evenings combine fine food with excellent comedy.

Friday 12th January sees us aiming to raise £3000 for local good causes in conjunction with Saddleworth Round Table.

Gavin Webster Gatley Festival comedy    Now best known to the world for his portrayal of ‘Joe’ in Ken Loach’s 2016 BAFTA winning film I, Daniel Blake, Newcastle’s Gavin Webster is famed and respected by his peers for his uncompromising and unusual approach, hard edged routines, quick-fire pastiche pieces, moronic jokes and sardonic songs. Gavin’s contributions to stand up over the last twenty years were recognised when he was voted Best Live Stand Up by fellow comedians and promoters in the 2014 UK Comedy Awards and we’re looking forward to his Lydgate debut.

Certainly no stranger to The White Hart is Justin Moorhouse. This highly regarded comedian hasJustin Moorhouse white hart lydgate taken several comedy shows to the Edinburgh Fringe and toured the UK. In February 2015  Justin performed to over 200 000 people in a 15 night stage version of Channel 4’s Phoenix Nights. The critically acclaimed show at the Manchester Arena raised £5 million for Comic  Relief. A natural affability endears Justin to any audience and an arsenal of tightly written material firmly hedges the bet.

Raymond Mearns BunburyWhether he is engaged in super quick audience interaction or telling a hilarious shaggy dog story, Raymond Mearns is one of the UK’s finest comperes. With a blinding talent for improvisation, Raymond is renowned as one of the nations top comperes and this is underlined by the fact he is a regular at the nations top comedy venues! TV includes Rab C Nesbitt.

Tickets are just £15 per person including bangers and mash supper with a veggie option.

Doors 7pm. Food served at 7.30pm and the show starts at 8.45pm prompt. All acts subject to change Please note strong language and adult themes. This is not for the faint hearted, subject matter may offend!
