Comedy @ Shirley Beer & Cider Festival
Now, we all like a good pint and it’s fair to say that the 2017 Shirley Beer and Cider Festival will have lots of them. What’s more, the people of Shirley can also enjoy two of British comedy’s funniest men into the bargain! The show takes place in a 20 seater marquee and the ticket price includes a fish and chip supper.

2017 sees Gawsworth’s most famous son, Rob Rouse, star as William Shakespeare’s manservant Bottom in the second series of Ben Elton’s sitcom Upstart Crow alongside David Mitchell. A natural performer, Rob has many voices in his head and, when unleashed, his shows become more like a hysterically funny play than one man telling very funny tales. TV includes 8 Out Of 10 Cats, Spoons, The Friday Night Project, Grown-Ups and Comedy Shuffle with Rob Rouse.
“He’s a man with genuinely funny bones.” Sunday Times “Go and see him now, I tell you, now!” The List
Tom Wrigglesworth is one of the UK’s most distinctive and sought after talents. TV includes Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live, Russell Howard`s Good News and The Comedy Gala for BBC Three as well as The World Stands Up, Edinburgh and Beyond and The Comedy Store. Tom is a regular on Radio 4 and was nominated for the Rose D’Or International Broadcasting Award Best Radio Comedy.
