The Boo has a well deserved reputation for producing world class puppet theatre and we were rather pleased when they approached us about a night of stand up comedy with no strings attached! The first show takes place on Saturday 16th September with comedians from across the UK and beyond!
Described by none other than Sarah Millican as ‘a very funny man’, Dubliner Caimh McDonnell has firmly established himself as the white-haired Irishman whose name nobody can pronounce. Try ‘Kweeve’ though and all will be well. Caimh recently helped provide the funny on both series of ‘The Sarah Millican Television Programme’ and the SKY panel show ‘A League of Their Own’. When not doing all of the above, Caimh is proud to be ‘The Voice of London Irish’ and acts as the rugby team’s announcer in the Madjeski stadium.
“Outstanding” Daily Telegraph “A very funny man” Sarah Millican
Archie Kelly is best known for his comic portrayal of Kenny “Dalglish” Senior in the award winning Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights. However, it is a live performer that Archie excels. He continues to act and perform regular stand-up and is in much demand on the corporate circuit. A cheeky, inoffensive and highly interactive style has endeared him to audiences both here and overseas.
“Funniest thing I’ve seen in ages.” Peter Kay
Jenny Collier moved from the Welsh mountains to the Big Smoke in 2010 to further her comedy career. Highlight: Appearing on a BBC Radio Wales panel show with Jo Brand. Low point: An audience member saying ‘You should be a stripper‘ (Both secretly highlights). Rob Riley is your compere for the evening. Show starts 8pm prompt and tickets are priced at £12 and £10 concessions if purchased on the day or £10 and £8 (concs) if purchased in advance.
