Friday 4th December Chorlton
Nick Doody ‘s career as a stand-up got off to a pretty good start, when Bill Hicks asked him to support him on his final tour of the UK. Sharp and topical – he’s not afraid to say what he thinks; his brand of political comedy and satire has won him fans all over the country…in fact all over Twitter as well, where he’s polled as one of the influential names in British comedy.
“I love Nick Doody”. The Independent
James Sherwood has incorporated a number of self-penned, original comic songs into his act. Although this involves lugging a keyboard around with him, it’s worth it – songs about grammatical inaccuracies and failed nightclub courtships have had audiences literally crying with laughter. James contributes the funnies to radio shows across the BBC, including The Now Show, The News Quiz and BBC7.
Your compere for the evening is the truly excellent Danny McLoughlin and your middle act is Paul T Eyres
