With an amiable, confident stage presence and a well written set Danny McLoughlin delivers material with more than just an immediate pay-off line, preferring to take the joke one or two steps further. Confident enough to take a risk on stage he does so not to the detriment of the audience, keeping them laughing along or hanging on every word. Not many comics could get a laugh from the notion of retro chocolate bars but Danny manages a full, gag packed routine with ease.
Performing stand-up since 2007 the Chester born act was a soon a finalist in the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year and went on to perform as part of the Edinburgh Fringe’s prestigious Big Value Comedy Show.
More recently he has supported Micky Flanagan and Sean Lock on tour and is a regular at the better clubs up and down the country including; The Glee and The Comedy Store as well as being a firm favourite at many of the country’s music festivals including Latitude and Leeds. He can be seen most weekends at Alexander’s in his native Chester
